FAQ
The most common questions about GMJD, from account and plans to QuantDesk, strategies, data and support.
About GMJD
What is GMJD?
A platform for systematic traders. The Library shows the strategies we trade ourselves. QuantDesk tests your own strategies and ours. The Portfolio Builder combines several into a portfolio. The Journal analyses your trading, and Teams gives a trading team a shared workspace.
Who is GMJD for?
For prop firm traders with futures and CFDs, for traders with their own capital and for investors. In short, for everyone who works systematically and wants to make their edge measurable.
Do I need programming skills?
No. You test your own strategy by exporting the list of trades from TradingView as CSV and uploading it to QuantDesk. Everything else happens in the interface. See Your own strategies.
Which markets do the GMJD strategies cover?
Futures, CFDs and forex, plus long-term investment strategies for stocks. Which strategy trades which market is shown on its card in the Library.
Is GMJD investment advice?
No. GMJD provides tools and analyses. Every number describes the past and is neither a forecast nor a recommendation. You make your own decisions.
Account
How do I sign up?
At gmjd-consulting.com/register. Then you confirm your email address and set up two-factor sign-in. See Getting started.
Do I have to use two-factor sign-in?
Yes, it is mandatory for every account. Instead of a code you can use a passkey. See Account and sign-in.
I lost my authenticator. What now?
Write to Support. They reset the second factor, and you then set it up again.
How do I delete my account?
Under Settings → Profil. You confirm with a fresh sign-in and then through a link sent by email. Deletion is final and cancels a running subscription immediately. See Deleting your account.
Plans
What does GMJD cost?
There are three plans: Launchpad, Trader and Premium. Current prices are on the plans page, what they include under Plans and billing.
Can I try GMJD for free?
With a free account you see the Library with all metrics and can use Teams. QuantDesk, the Portfolio Builder and the Journal need a paid plan.
Can I pay monthly?
No. You pay quarterly, half-yearly or yearly. The longer the cycle, the lower the price per month.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes. A change is prorated, a cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. See Billing.
QuantDesk and strategies
What data does QuantDesk need?
The list of trades from TradingView's Strategy Tester as CSV. You do not upload your strategy's source code.
How many strategies can I analyse at once?
QuantDesk tests each strategy on its own page. The Prop Firm Analysis calculates up to four strategies together on one account, the Portfolio Builder two to nine as a portfolio.
Does QuantDesk declare my strategy good?
No. QuantDesk shows how much of the result is left outside the sample, how stable it is across many splits and how widely future paths spread. There is no seal and no pass mark. See QuantDesk overview.
How do I automate my trades?
Through our partners PineConnector for CFDs and PickMyTrade for futures, from the Trader plan on. See Plans and billing.
Data
Where is my data stored?
The platform runs in Frankfurt, and so does the database. Sign-in runs through an EU tenant of our identity service Auth0. Some service providers, for example for sending email, are based in the US and covered by EU standard contractual clauses. Details are in the privacy policy.
What happens to my data when I cancel?
Cancelling only ends the subscription. Your account and your data remain, and you can book a plan again later. Data is only deleted when you delete your account.
Support
How do I reach Support?
Through Support at the bottom of the dashboard sidebar. There you start a chat or send a message. By email you reach us at support@gmjd-consulting.com.
How fast do you reply?
From the Trader plan on, within 24 hours. Premium also has Discord support with voice chat and an onboarding call.
Where can I see whether the platform is up?
On the status page. It shows the state of the services and ongoing incidents.
Specific problems and their solutions are listed under Troubleshooting.
