Getting started
From your account to your first analysis, and where everything lives on the platform.
This page walks you through getting started in four steps. The platform's interface is in German, so buttons and menu entries appear here under their German names, with an explanation in English.
1. Create an account
Sign up at gmjd-consulting.com/register. The sign-in page is provided by our identity service Auth0. You sign in there with email and password or with one of the providers the page offers you.
After signing up, confirm your email address through the link we send you. Until you do, a notice in the dashboard reminds you.
2. Set up two-factor sign-in
Two-factor sign-in is mandatory for every account. When you open the dashboard for the first time, you set it up with an authenticator app. From then on, every sign-in asks for the code.
Instead of the code you can use a passkey, such as Face ID, Windows Hello or your fingerprint. The sign-in page offers it to you. More on this under Account and sign-in.
3. Choose a plan
With a free account you see the Library with all metrics and can join a team. The tools depend on your plan:
- Launchpad opens QuantDesk for the strategies in the Library.
- Trader adds your own strategies and the Portfolio Builder.
- Premium also includes the Journal.
You book plans on the plans page. Details are under Plans and billing.
4. Your first analysis
Depending on where you start:
- Look at a GMJD strategy: Open the Library in the dashboard and pick a strategy. From Launchpad on, the card takes you straight to its test page in QuantDesk.
- Test your own strategy: In TradingView, export the list of trades as CSV and drop it on the QuantDesk dashboard. How to export is described under Your own strategies.
- Build a portfolio: Open the Portfolio Builder in QuantDesk and pick two to nine strategies.
- Analyse your trades: Create an account in the Journal and import your broker's CSV. See Trade import.
Where everything lives
The platform has several areas, each with its own sidebar. Each one has a link back to the dashboard at the top.

On your first visit, a short introduction in the dashboard explains the sidebar. You get help through Support at the bottom of the sidebar. There you start a chat or send us a message.
