Members and roles
Inviting by code, the four roles, the right to create private projects, removing members and transferring the team.
Under Mitglieder (members) in the team area you see who is in the team, with role and since when. Clicking a member opens their card.
Inviting
Owners and admins open a side panel through Ins Team einladen (invite to the team). It shows the team's invite code. You copy it and pass it on, and the invited person joins with it under Teams in the dashboard.
Only the owner generates a new code. After that only the new one is valid, and the old one stops working. That is how you lock a code that has fallen into the wrong hands.
Roles
| Role | Rights |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything. Renews the invite code, assigns roles and transfers the team. A team has exactly one owner. |
| Admin | Invites, manages members below them, deletes cards, manages lists, labels and projects |
| Moderator | Like a member |
| Member | Reads, creates cards, moves and comments on them, edits their own |
What each role may do on the board is listed in the table under Board and calendar.
Roles are changed by whoever ranks above the member: the owner for everyone, an admin for the members below them. Nobody changes their own role.
Right to create private projects
Owners and admins may always create private projects. They give this right to a moderator or member in that person's card. What a private project is, is described under Board and calendar.
Removing members
A member's card contains Aus dem Team entfernen (remove from the team). Whoever ranks above the member may do this, never on themselves. Because it cannot be undone, you hold the button down until it triggers. A member can also leave the team themselves.
Transferring the team
The owner transfers the team to another member in the team's settings. That member is then the owner. This is also the way to go if the owner wants to leave: transfer first, then leave.
